Information we collect
If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive account identifiers, email address, name, profile image, and sign-in information. You may also provide RSS feed URLs and article URLs. When you ask TrustDigest AI to summarize or verify content, the article title, URL, and extracted article text can be sent to AI services to produce summaries, credibility analysis, and source lists.
Subscription purchase and entitlement status is processed by Google Play, Apple, and subscription service providers. The app may also use Google advertising services for ads and device identifiers, advertising identifiers, diagnostics, and related data described by Google for ad delivery and fraud prevention.
The app stores some information on your device, such as saved articles, summaries, verifications, RSS feeds, collections, recent searches, theme settings, onboarding state, usage-limit display state, and sign-in data. Server-side deletion requests do not remove local app data from your device.
How we use information
- App functionality: sign-in, fetching RSS articles, summaries, verifications, saved content, usage limits, and premium access.
- Account management: associating a Google or Apple user ID with usage limits, subscription status, and deletion requests.
- Billing and subscriptions: processing purchases, restoring purchases, syncing entitlement status, and honoring active paid periods.
- Advertising: showing native ads and rewarded ads through Google advertising services.
- Security and compliance: sign-in verification, usage-limit abuse prevention, request records, and fraud prevention.
Third-party services and sharing
TrustDigest AI uses Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Google Gemini, Google Search grounding, URL context tools, Google advertising services, subscription service providers, Google Play Billing, Apple subscriptions, external RSS feeds and article websites, and cloud hosting and monitoring providers.
We share information with service providers as needed to provide the app. For example, article URLs and content may be sent to Google AI services, subscription identifiers may be sent to subscription service providers, and advertising-related data may be collected by Google advertising services. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention, deletion, and security
- Daily usage counters are retained until the end of the day to prevent abuse.
- Subscription-linked records are retained until the end of the current subscription period.
- Cached article summaries and verification results may be retained temporarily by article URL.
- Service logs may retain operational and deletion-request records according to our cloud provider retention settings.
- We use HTTPS/TLS for data in transit and verify sign-in information before protected requests are accepted.
Contact and deletion
You can request deletion of specific account-linked data at the data deletion form and request full account deletion at the account deletion form. Account deletion is only completed when there is no active subscription. Google advertising data is controlled by Google and can be managed through Google and device advertising settings.
